A Celebration of Mexico with the Cadavid Family

Whitney and Bonni's primary level class hosted special guests, Eduardo and Victoria Cadavid, who shared a presentation on North America, featuring Mexico.  Mr. and Mrs. Cadavid are the grandparents of kindergarten student, Maya Cadavid.  They brought hand made books for the children with facts about North America and Mexico, several foods to try including Mexican cookies and Mexican hot chocolate, sombreros for the children to try on, necklaces, flags, maps, and money for the classroom.  Eduardo and Victoria also taught the children a few Spanish words, shared information about the Mexican culture, and spent time answering the children's many questions - mostly about food.  Many children commented that it was their "best school day ever!"
