Boy Scouts Renovate the Ecolab
This summer Carter Fee, a Mercy sixth grade graduate and son to preprimary teacher Diane Fee, spent many long, hot hours renovating the Ecolab stage along with his Boy Scout Troop. Carter was happy to do any kind of project at Mercy. After meeting with Lisa and some of the Junior High kids who had been trying to improve the Ecolab, he decided that rebuilding the stage would be a perfect project. "Mercy did so much for me while I was a student there, that I felt I could do my part to give back. The reason I chose the stage remodel was because I wanted to give the kids an opportunity to express themselves and be inspired like I was at Mercy. Theater is a great way to do that," said Carter.
Carter, a senior at Summit Country Day, has been in the Boy Scout organization (Troop 694 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Anderson) since Kindergarten. With luck, Carter should be completing his Eagle Badge by the end of October. Mercy thanks Carter and Troop 694 for their hard work and generosity of time and spirit.
