Mercy LEGO Meteors: Building on Success!

Our Mercy LEGO Meteors have had one incredible season!  The team advanced all the way to the state competition after placing in both the district and sectional matches and being honored with an Innovation Award for their project, the S.I.F.T.E.R. 

The team is not stopping here!  They have a patent pending on the S.I.F.T.E.R (Simple, Inexpensive, Foldable, Transportable, Efficient, Reusable), a foldable and collapsible sifting tool designed to make fieldwork easier for archaeologists.   This project was created for the FIRST LEGO League's archeology-focused theme, Unearthed.    

The team has even worked with local archaeologists and have had their S.I.F.T.E.R prototype used at area dig sites!
