Mercy’s Chess Club Makes Its Move at the Queen City Classic

Mercy's Chess Club participated in the Queen City Tournament at TQL stadium to test their skills against competitors from across the region. When the boards were cleared, Mercy had plenty to celebrate!

• Three members of Mercy’s Chess Club took home individual trophies: Charlie (7th grade), Javi (6th grade), and Barris (1st grade)!
• Our 6th grade team came in 4th place in their grade level, a strong showing in a competitive field.

None of it would be possible without the volunteers who share their time and talent with our students.  We are grateful for their support and proud of every student who shows up, studies the game, and competes with courage.
