Mercy Gives Back

This holiday season, Mercy has been fortunate to support area organizations thanks the the generosity of their students and school families.

Upper Elementary students organized the 23rd Annual Christmas Drive in support of Found Village, whose mission is to empower teens from hard places to reach their full potential.   Gifts cards, toys, clothes, and games were collected and shared with teens served by Found Village.

In the Lower Elementary, students participated in Cans for Reading.  These stellar readers earned 1 canned good for each book or chapter they read and logged.  The students read over 550 books/chapters and donated more than 550 cans to Mercy Neighborhood Ministries with the help of their teachers and parents.

We were grateful to support these local organizations and instill the joy of giving in our students!
